Austin. Prattville Christian Academy. Class of 2019.

You just know it's going to be a great location when you're told NOT to follow the GPS after getting off the interstate, but to follow written directions that include dirt roads and railroad tracks. I was soon welcomed onto a 1000 acre farm just south of Montgomery. Fields of cotton and corn for literally miles. I was in heaven. Not only were these roads taking me to some glorious scenery, but I was taken back to my own childhood of growing up on a farm in south Georgia. I LOVE when worlds collide like that!

It only got better after meeting Austin. He was certainly in his element, from his suit in front of the white country church around the bend to his cowboy hat and boots. I loved how he was so comfortable with who he is, not shying away from his roots. Just from the short time I spent with him, it's obvious that he is full of grit and determination with a solid foundation of faith and family. Austin, thank you for the opportunity to photograph you in your favorite places.

Photography continues to take me on unexpected paths. I grow so much from them and leave not with clients, but with friends. It always amazes me how this "gig" of mine allows me to enrich other people's lives with my work while being equally (if not more so) enriched by this exposure to new places and new relationships.
