I had the best time photographing Jenna for her senior photos. It can be an awkward thing to have someone you’ve never met telling you every few minutes where to put your hands, where to look, to half-smile, full smile, laugh at mom watching from behind…you get the picture. Jenna was game. I joke that it’s almost like playing Simon says. Not that I had to do too much coaching because each expression begged to be captured without me even directing the shot. Jenna was a natural, which you will see from her photos. And, can we just take a minute and look at those gorgeous eyes?!

We shot all of these at someone’s beautiful landscaped home in Montgomery, AL. I couldn’t believe all of the fun nooks and crannies that were available to us in one location. It was a dream.

With any senior I photograph, I ask each one to complete a questionnaire to get a better feel for their hopes during the session. One of the questions asks to list a favorite quote. This was Jenna’s, “Love means giving chances when there’s no more chances left to give.” It fits her personality perfectly. She just oozes love and kindness.

Also, when can I have this mounted mounted on my wall somewhere?
