The Youngs | Spring Session | Helena, AL

Taking family photos is so much fun when those in the photos are some of your best friends. We’ve known the Youngs for 10 years. We actually have quite a history. The first time we met was to rent their home, never anticipating the friendship that would evolve.

Fastforward and we ended up living in the same town and attending the same church a few years later. We later ended up moving away, but I’m so glad we aren’t too far away for the occasional visit. This spring was no different, except we threw in a family session before dinner. The perfect combo. The Youngs recently moved into their current home and are making it their own. The renovations these two have done in the short time they have lived there have been amazing, not to mention a beautiful yard. When Stephanie asked me if I thought shooting portraits on their own property was a good idea, I quickly said yes. I am so glad we did! The light coming through the trees was so dreamy. The beautiful knockout roses and greenery that adorns their yard were amazing touches, too. I don’t think we could have chosen a better location for their shoot if we tried. It highlighted this beautiful family all the more.
